Guided by the High Royal Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, aimed at strengthening and promoting the values of citizenship, the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Prisoners and the Moussalaha Center, in collaboration with the Prefecture of the Province of Youssoufia, organized on December 12, 2025, at the latter’s headquarters, a ceremony for the handover of income-generating projects to a number of former inmates involved in cases related to extremism and terrorism, who are beneficiaries of the Moussalaha program.
This initiative involved 18 beneficiaries, who were supported with various projects aimed at creating independent and sustainable sources of income, which would help strengthen their effective integration into the economic and social fabric. This approach is part of the overall vision of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Prisoners and the Moussalaha Center, which seeks to support individuals who have completed their reintegration process within penitentiary institutions and assist them in building new life paths for themselves, their families, and society, based on the values of citizenship and dignity.
This initiative reflects the human dimension of the “Moussalaha” program, which works on rehabilitating beneficiaries so that they reconcile with themselves, their religion, society, and the rules and norms governing collective life, both in their relationship with individuals and with legitimate institutions responsible for managing public life. It also embodies the high values that His Majesty the King, may God protect him, has envisioned for this category, aiming to secure them a safe and reassuring place in the social fabric after their release and departure from the prison environment.
The ceremony for the handover of income-generating projects was attended by the Governor of the Province of Youssoufia, the President of the Moussalaha Center, the General Coordinator of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Prisoners, as well as representatives of the judicial and administrative authorities, partners from public sectors, and several stakeholders in the field.
