Mission and objectives
The Moussalaha Center is mandated to design and implement strategies and programs aimed at preventing violent extremism, while ensuring the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals convicted of extremism and terrorism. Its mission is carried out through the following objectives:
- Supervise the Moussalaha Program in its current form, ensuring its continuity and improvement;
- Support and monitor for program beneficiaries after their release, to facilitate sustainable reintegration;
- Develop tailored initiatives to reduce the risk of relapse into violent extremism;
- Establish a vigilance system and necessary measures to protect the immediate family environment of beneficiaries from exposure to extremist ideologies;
- Maintain a comprehensive repository of projects and data on reintegration opportunities available to former convicts;
- Organize training programs, seminars, study days, and scientific conferences; conduct and publish research; and actively contribute to national and international forums, meetings and training sessions aligned with the Center’s objectives;
- Mobilize and manage the human, financial, and logistical resources required to implement the Center’s programs, while maintaining a roster of qualified experts to supervise training;
- Establish cooperation and partnership agreements with national and international partners and institutions to support the Center’s objectives.
