In line with the royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him—directives that emphasize the importance of strengthening intellectual security and consolidating the values of tolerance and moderation—the Moussalaha Center is working to gradually open up public space and ensure the participation of all segments of society in national efforts to prevent and combat violent extremism.
Reflecting His Majesty’s enlightened vision, the Moussalaha Center is committed to developing a comprehensive approach to safeguard society from the spread of extremist ideologies. This approach is built on fostering partnerships with educators, community organizations, and academic institutions—universities, schools, and training institutes alike—with the goal of nurturing collective awareness and promoting a culture of dialogue, openness, and mutual understanding.
In this context, a range of programs and initiatives has been developed to engage various segments of society, with a particular focus on youth and the families of returnees from conflict zones. These initiatives include awareness-raising and training workshops, interactive sessions, and the creation of digital content. Their objective is to promote an alternative discourse grounded in moderation and centrism, while encouraging critical thinking and openness to others.
The Moussalaha Center aims to establish strong institutional partnerships with government agencies, civil society organizations, and cultural stakeholders to ensure effective, integrated coordination. This collaborative approach supports the development of a cohesive national framework to counter extremist ideologies and reinforce society’s resilience against all forms of extremism and terrorism.
