Building on the success of the “Moussalaha” program—recognized as a pivotal stage in the psychological and intellectual rehabilitation of inmates convicted of extremism or violent extremism—this initiative serves as a qualitative extension of the broader support framework. Its purpose is to reinforce the progress already made and consolidate the outcomes of positive transformation. This is achieved through targeted field support structured around four complementary approaches:
- Fundamentalist Religious Approach: Implemented through intellectual workshops and lectures designed to equip inmates with the knowledge and tools necessary to safeguard themselves against extremist ideologies.
- Clinical Psychological Approach: Delivered through interactive and individualized clinical sessions aimed at strengthening inmates’ psychological resilience and mental defense mechanisms, enabling them to withstand pressures and resist extremist or deviant behaviors.
- Socio-Economic Approach: Conducted via workshops that build professional skills and provide practical training in the management of income-generating projects. These sessions are tailored especially for inmates nearing the end of their sentences, preparing them for post-release life and facilitating their smooth and constructive reintegration into society.
- Promoting a Culture of Protection Against Violent Extremism Through Art (Theater as a Model): This approach involves collaboration with specialized theater directors to develop targeted artistic projects. These works are co-created and acted by rehabilitated inmates detained under the Anti-Terrorism Law who have renounced extremist ideologies, using artistic expression as a vehicle for reconciliation and awareness.
