In accordance with the strategic directions adopted by the Moussalaha Center, as approved during the steering Council meeting, particularly those relating to programs aimed at combating violent extremism in prisons, a specific reintegration program has been launched for prisoners under 20 years of age, convicted under the anti-terrorism law.<\/p>\n

This program is implemented in coordination with the DGAPR and the relevant security authorities. Its primary goal is to promote a culture of tolerance among young detainees in order to reduce and counter the influence of extremist ideologies. The program is expected to unfold in several phases:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Initial communication phase:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Dialogue sessions and meetings are organized with the target group of detainees, involving representatives from the DGAPR and the Moussalaha Center. These sessions aim to assess detainees\u2019 psychological readiness and willingness to participate in the program, while gathering their aspirations and expectations prior to implementation.<\/p>\n

    1. Preparation of the fact sheets:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      An individual record will be created for each inmate, including the following information:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Current level of education and degrees obtained;<\/li>\n
      • social background and living conditions;<\/li>\n
      • Participation in existing institutional programs or training courses;<\/li>\n
      • Physical and mental health status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        1. Meetings with families:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Meetings are held with the families of detainees to gain a better understanding of their social circumstances and the environment in which the young detainee was raised. This step helps identify the factors leading to radicalization, especially given their young age. These meetings are also a crucial step in building trust and encourage family involvement in the reintegration process.<\/p>\n

          1. Implementation of the reintegration program:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            This reintegration program takes place over a period of at least six months, with one to two sessions per week. Throughout this period, continuous monitoring is carried out to evaluate participants\u2019 reactions, measure progress, and identify behavioral or emotional changes resulting from program participation.<\/p>\n

            1. Program focus areas:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              The program is structured around two main components:<\/p>\n

              • Intellectual and religious approach:<\/strong> Supervised by the President of the Moussalaha Centre, this component may involve scholars from the Mohammadian League of Scholars. The sessions are conducted in a detailed and structured manner to foster critical thinking and promote balanced religious understanding.<\/li>\n
